CLIFTON PARK, N.Y.— After recording five points in two games this weekend, Colgate men’s hockey forward Colton Young was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.
Young registered the first hat trick of his collegiate career in Friday’s game against Arizona State and also tallied an assist, helping the Raiders to an 8-3 win.
In Saturday’s game, the Calgary, Alberta native notched an assist on a goal that tied the game at 2-2, but Colgate ended up falling to the Sun Devils 4-3 in overtime.
Colgate hosts Western Michigan for a pair of games this weekend, starting with a 7:00 p.m. contest on Friday.
