Utica Loses Fourth In A Row

#2 Middlebury (5-0-2, 3-0-1 NESCAC) – 4

Penalties hurt the Pioneers big time in this one as #2 Middlebury scored three power-play goals en route to a 4-0 victory Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers Jenna Letterie scored a pair of power-play goals in the first period at 4:02 and 8:50 to put her team ahead 2-0. Sidney Portner added a third power-play goal at 6:44 of the second. Alexis Ryan capped off the scoring with the fourth Panthers goal at 5:50 of the third

Bria Reilly finished with 41 saves. Utica only managed 12 shots on goal. This was the fourth loss in a row for the Pioneers who have been outscored 20-3 during that span.

Utica caps off the first half of their season this Tuesday at the ADK Bank Center. The Pioneers will host Castleton University which was rescheduled from Sunday, December 1st.
