Boston Jr. Bruins (17-5-2) – 1
Tenth place Syracuse stunned the second place Junior Bruins Saturday night on the road.
After a scoreless first period, Cannon Green lit the lamp assisted by Donald Borgula 6:12 into the second giving the Stars a 1-0 lead they would maintain throughout the middle stanza. Griffen Sanom increased that lead 4:26 into the third with assists going to Buster Larsson and Dominik Bogdziul. The Jr. Bruins got one back 12 minutes later, but Larsson sealed the deal adding a goal with 1:25 left in the game. David Otter played sensational in net stopping 28 Boston shots.
Sunday, December 2nd
Syracuse Stars (10-13-2) – 4
Boston Jr. Bruins (17-6-2) – 1
Syracuse secured the sweep on Sunday night with a 4-1 victory over the Junior Bruins. Mathieu Gervais scored 33 seconds into the game assisted by Timmy Kent and Gregory McGunigle for the only goal of the first. The Bruins tied things up 2:25 into the second, but it’d be all Syracuse from that point forward.
Gervais added his second of the game at the 9:33 mark assisted by Dylan Rallis and Kent once again. Buster Larsson added an insurance marker 13 minutes into the third and Gervais added an empty netter to seal the victory and hat-trick! Rallis and Jeremy Gabriele assisted on the final goal of the game. Nick Wiencek stopped 32 in the win.
Syracuse is off this weekend before hosting the Rochester Monarchs for two games December 15th and 16th
