Two Continentals are on the all-NESCAC women’s hockey first team

Hamilton College’s Nancy Loh ’23 (Syracuse, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius HS) and Abby Kuhns ’23 (Skaneateles, N.Y./Loomis Chaffee School [Conn.]) were selected for the 2022 New England Small College Athletic Conference Women’s Hockey All-Conference Team on Tuesday, March 1.

Both athletes were voted to the first team by the NESCAC coaches. Loh was named the rookie of the year following the 2018-19 season.

Loh is one of seven forwards on the team. She is second in the conference with 13 goals, tied for fourth with 24 points and tied for fifth with 11 assists in 21 games. She’s tied for second with four power-play goals and four game-winning goals. Loh has nine goals and nine assists for 18 points in 16 NESCAC games.

Kuhns is one of four defenders on the team. She is tied for 11th in the conference with 10 assists and has scored three goals for 13 points in 19 games. She is tied for 15th with 18 blocked shots. She has two goals and seven helpers for nine points in 14 NESCAC games. Kuhns has helped lead a defense that allows an average of 2.0 goals per game.

The Continentals have an overall record of 12-9-0, and have advanced to the 2022 NESCAC championship semifinals with a 1-0 win against Williams College on Feb. 26. Hamilton went 8-8 in the conference and is the No. 4 seed for the championship. The Continentals play at top-seeded and nationally ranked No. 1 Middlebury College in a semifinal on Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m.
