Syracuse, N.Y. – The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-assigned forward Gemel Smith to the Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.
Smith, 28, has skated in 35 games this season, all with the Syracuse Crunch, scoring 13 goals and adding 24 assists for 37 points.
The 6-foot, 210-pound Smith signed a two-year contract with the Lightning on July 23, 2021. He has skated in 337 career AHL games, tallying 218 points with 94 goals and 124 assists.
