The Syracuse Orange Women’s Hockey Team (7-11-1 overall, 4-2-0 CHA) returns to action this weekend when they host the thirteenth-ranked Vermont Catamounts for a two-game series at the Tennity Ice Pavillion. The first game will be on Friday night beginning at 6 pm EST and will be the Teddy Bear Toss game for the Orange. The series will conclude on Saturday with a scheduled start time of 3 pm.
The Orange will be facing a ranked opponent for the second weekend in a row. Last weekend they dropped both games against twelfth-ranked and College Hockey America (CHA) rival Penn State Nittany Lions at the Pegula Ice Arena. Despite the losses to Penn State, Syracuse is still in second place in the CHA conference.
The Catamounts suffered a bit of turbulence last weekend as well. They were in Boston, Massachusetts to face the eighth-ranked Northeastern Huskies, and like Syracuse, dropped both games. Vermont is currently in third place in the Hockey East conference.
These will be the last games for both teams before the end of the semester break. With Syracuse and Vermont looking to rebound from last weekend, let’s take a look at how they match up against each other.
