Special teams was the difference Friday with all but one goal being scored on a power-play. The Orange went ahead 1-0 thanks to a Savannah Rennie power-play goal at 11:32 of the first. The 1-0 lead would stand until midway through the third period.

Princeton netted two power-play goals at 8:27 and 15:09 of the third to take a 2-1 lead. They added an insurance marker into an empty net with 16 seconds left. Syracuse was out-shot 37-23 in the game. Allison Small was in goal for the Orange and finished with 34 saves.

The Orange losing streak was extended to 9 games Saturday afternoon in Princeton, NJ after falling by a score of 9-0. Unlike the night prior, Princeton got on the board first only 1:13 into the game. They added another first period tally before finding the back once more early in the third period.

Small finished with 25 saves for the Orange for a weekend total of 59.

Syracuse is back at it on Tuesday when they travel to Schenectady to face-off against Union. Following the rare weekday game, the Orange play a home-and-home with the RIT Tigers. The weekend series marks the first conference games of the season. Friday nights game is in Syracuse at 7:00pm, with Saturdays Rochester tilt beginning at 12:00pm.
