Syracuse (5-13-1, 4-1-1 CHA) – 1
Despite out-shooting the Saints 37-23, Syracuse lost their first game of the second half by a score of 3-1 Tuesday night at Tennity Ice Pavilion. Syracuse found themselves down 1-0 after 20 minutes of play.
Late in the second period Abby Moloughney broke through to tie the game at one with a period left to play. Amanda Backebo assisted. The score remained 1-1 until the later stages of the third period. St. Lawrence scored at 15:34 to take a 2-1 lead before securing the victory with an empty net goal three minutes later. Allison Small made 20 saves for the Orange.
