ROCHESTER, NY – Erica Sloan (Potsdam, NY/St. Lawrence Steel) of the No. 12 Utica University women’s hockey team has been named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the UCHC on Monday.
Sloan drove the No. 12 Utica offense in a series sweep of Lebanon Valley this past weekend. Sloan totaled five points over two games on four goals and an assist while posting a .400 shot percentage. Sloan totaled one goal in Friday’s 4-2 win before registering her second hat trick over a two-week span in Saturday’s 7-1 win. She also assisted on a second period goal that extended Utica’s lead to 5-0.
Sloan and No. 12 Utica hit the road this weekend to take on Wilkes University. The first of two games is set for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
