UTICA, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men’s Hockey team traveled to Utica to face the Pioneers this evening. Oswego couldn’t find an answer for the Pioneers defense, as they were shutout for the first time this season.
Final Score: #7 Oswego State 0 (7-4, 5-1 SUNYAC), #3 Utica 4 (8-2-1, 6-0 UCHC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Utica University would get on the board first, 14 minutes into the first period on a breakaway.
Utica would lead by one going into the second period. Cal Schell recorded 16 saves in the first period of play.
Utica would score their second goal of the evening just over halfway through the second period, giving them a 2-0 lead over Oswego.
The Pioneers would be rewarded a power play shortly after their second goal, which Utica would capitalize on and secure a 3-0 lead.
Utica scored their fourth goal with a minute and a half left in the second period.
Utica would hold a 4-0 lead going into the third period. Schell recorded 12 saves in the period, bringing his total to 28.
Schell would pitch a shutout in the third period, recording 13 saves, bringing his total on the night to 41.
Oswego would fall to Utica by a score of 4-0.
The Men will travel to Buffalo State on Friday, December 9th to face off against the Bengals, the puck drop is scheduled for 7pm.
