Sasenbury Named 15U Player of the Month

The United States Premier Hockey League have announced their Players of the Month for the 15U Division for the month of September. The Utica Jr. Comets 15U team had three players receive honors.

Fayetteville native Spencer Sasenbury was named the Forward Of The Month. Sasenbury recorded a whopping 8 goals and 9 assists through 6 games in the month of September. His 17 points puts him in second place in all of the USPHL 15U Division.

In their first year of existence the 15U Comets opened the season at the Tier 1 Labor Day Faceoff in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The Comets made the tournament final thanks in large part to Sasenbury. He recorded nine points in four games before adding 3 goals and 3 assists in a 7-0 win versus the P.A.L. Islanders on September 21st.

Although not named Player Of The Month, Finnegan Wheeler of Syracuse received an honorable mention for Defenseman Of The Month. Wheeler has 5 points through six games so far his season. Joseph Salvador (Liverpool) also received an honorable mention for Goaltender Of The Month.
