Reid Boucher scored twice in the first period and Lukas Jasek scored the overtime winner to give the Comets the 4-3 victory over the Penguins.
Boucher scored at 17:40 of the first assisted by Carter Camper. He followed it up two minutes later with his fourth of the season while on the power-play.

The Penguins tied the game up with two power-play goals in the second. WBS took their first lead of the night at 8:56 of the third. With only 2:20 remaining in the the Carter Bancks slammed home a rebound tying the game at three. Sven Baertschi and Ashton Sautner assisted on Bancks first of the season.
Wilkes-Barre fired 6 shots on net in the extra period, but it only took one Comets shot to secure the victory. Brogran Rafferty found himself in the slot and drew a Penguins defender to him. This left Jasek all alone back door who backhanded the game winner home. Zane McIntyre stopped 37 shots in the win.

The Comets take the ice for their home opener versus the Syracuse Crunch this Wednesday at the Adirondack Bank Center.
