The Orange return to Tennity Ice Pavilion to play CHA opponent RIT on Friday, November 5th at 7 pm. The Orange lead the series against the Tigers at 22-11-4. Syracuse will travel to Rochester for the second game in the series at Gene Polisseni Center on Saturday, November 6th at 6 pm. The game at RIT will be streamed on,


‘Cuse (2-5-2 overall, 1-1 College Hockey America) returns to the ice after splitting a two-game series at Lindenwood. The Orange won the first game, 3-1 and lost the second, 5-3. Senior Abby Moloughney recorded three goals and an assist in the series, while senior Jessica DiGirolamo scored two goals and tallied one assist. Freshman Sarah Marchand notched her first collegiate career goal and senior Shelby Calof had two assists. Goaltender Arielle DeSmet recorded 34 saves in the first game and fellow goalie Allison Small returned to the net after missing seven games due to injury and had 27 saves in the second.


DiGirolamo was named the CHA Defenseman of the Month for her performance in the first month of the season. She garnered two CHA Defenseman of the Week accolades in the stretch. She set the Syracuse record for points by a defenseman with an assist at #3 Colgate and has 80 career points (29 goals and 51 assists). She ranks fifth on the CHA record list for points by a defenseman and is the 10th defensemen in CHA history to record 50 career assists. Syracuse has a strong presence on the CHA’s top 10 list for all-time assists by defenseman with five. The list includes DiGirolamo (51), Akane Hosoyamada (51), Allie Munroe (51), Lindsay Eastwood (52) and Nicole Renault (58).


Moloughney has 82 career points (35 goals and 47 assists) which ranks ninth on the Syracuse career points record list. Her 47 career assists ties for 11th in the Orange record books.

DiGirolamo is eighth on the Orange career points record list (80). Her 29 goals is the Syracuse record for defensemen and while her 51 career assists ranks eighth all-time.


Freshman goalie Sarah Coe earned CHA Rookie of the Week honors for her 79-save performance against Connecticut. Coe has recorded 30 or more saves in nine games this season for the Tigers (0-10).


Syracuse will play at Cornell at Lynah Rink in Ithaca, N.Y. on Tuesday, November 9th at 7 pm. The game will be available to watch on ESPN+.
