Morrisville 3-9-1 (1-7-0, SUNYAC) – 6
Bryn Athyn 4-9-0 (Independent) – 3

Morrisville closed out the first half of their season with a 6-3 win against the visitors from Bryn Athyn. Nick DeVito got the scoring started with a power-play goal at the 6:28 markof the first period. Dane Moore extended the lead to 2-0 5:48 into the second. Bryn Athyn cut the lead to 2-1 at 13:33, but three minutes later Ben Sprague scored the Mustangs second power-play goal the night putting the home team ahead 3-1. CJ Stubbs would add another goal at 18:19 giving his team a comfortable 4-1 lead with 20 minutes left to play.

Morrisville went ahead 5-1 on another Sprague goal 1:40 into the third. Bryn Athyn scored just over a minute later trying to claw their way back into this one, but a Jesse Anderson power-play goal put Morrisville ahead 6-2 with only 2:01 remaining in the game. Bryn Athyn did add another tally with 13 seconds left in the game. Jorgen Johnson made 21 saves in the win.


Morrisville returns to the ice Friday, January 11th when they travel to Salve Regina for a 7:35pm puck drop. They will be back at the Iceplex on Saturday, January 12th against the University of New England.
