Hamilton College Men
Tuesday, November 20th
Wilkes 4-3-0 (2-1-0, UCHC) – 2
Hamilton 2-1-0 (1-0-0, NESCAC) – 3
Wilkes got out to an early 1-0 lead scoring only 52 seconds into the game and the score would remain 1-0 until the third period. Jason Brochu and Bennett Morrison scored power-play goals three minutes apart to put the Continentals up 2-1. Wilkes battled back and responded only 1:21 later tying the game at two goals with a little over half a period remaining. Regulation wouldn’t be enough to decide this one and the game headed to an overtime period. It only took 23 seconds for Nick Ursitti to find the back of the net and earn the win for his team. Pete Negron stopped 29 shots in his first collegiate start.
Saturday, November 24th
Hamilton 3-1-0 (1-0-0, NESCAC) – 5
SUNY Canton 3-5-1 (Independent) – 1
Morrison recorded three assists and Brochu scored twice to lead Hamilton College to a 5-1 victory over the Roo’s on Saturday. Anthony Tirabassi stopped 19 shots. Rory Gagnon, Sterling Bray and Sean Allen also scored for Hamilton.
Hamilton returns to NESCAC play this weekend at Trinity Friday night before travelling to Wesleyan for a Saturday afternoon tilt.
Morrisville State Men
Tuesday, November 20th
Chatham 1-5-0 (1-3-0, UCHC) – 1
Morrisville State 2-7-0 (1-5-0, SUNYAC) – 4
CJ Stubbs scored two goals, Jon Kasper added another at the 14:30 mark of the third and Christian Vella sealed the deal with an empty net goal with under 10 seconds left in the game. Jorgen Johnson made 26 saves for the Mustangs.
Morrisville travels to Anna Maria Friday for another non-conference game at 5:40pm.
Utica College Men
Utica traveled to Stevens Point, Wisconsin over the weekend where they played in the Stevens Point Holiday Tournament.
Friday, November 23rd
Utica 4-4-0 (3-2-0, UCHC) – 6
St. Thomas 3-3-0 (1-0-1, MIAC) – 3
Tyler Dill put UC ahead 1-0 7:05 into the first period, but found themselves down 2-1 at the conclusion of the first. St. Thomas would add a power-play tally 45 seconds into the second to increase their lead, but Utica would take over from there. The Pioneers scored five unanswered goals in the third period en route to a 6-3 victory and a spot in Saturday’s championship game. Goals were scored by Conor Landirgan, Zach Borsoi, Brett Everson, Regen Cavanagh and Devin Warfield. Gregg Burmaster assisted on three goals and Gianluca Baggetta saved 16 shots.
Saturday, November 24th
Utica 4-5-0 (3-2-0, UCHC) – 1
#1 UW-Stevens Point 8-0-2 (0-0-0, WIAC) – 4
The #1 team in the nation, UWSP, got out to a 2-0 lead before Borsoi scored a power-play goal with 20 seconds remaining in the first period to cut the lead to 2-1. Unfortunately, that is the closest UC would come in this one. UWSP added a power-play goal midway through the final frame before scoring their 4th goal with 50 seconds left to win the championship of their own tournament. Baggetta made 23 saves in the loss.
Utica is hosting Stevenson Friday for the Ride for Missing Children night in which they will be wearing special jerseys. The jerseys are currently up for auction and will remain open until 7:00pm Friday. You can find more information on ucpioneers.com.
Saturday night Utica hosts Chatham for the infamous New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss game which will be televised live on WKTV.

Morrisville State 5-3-1 (3-2-1, CHC) – 1
Hamilton 2-1-0 (1-1-0, NESCAC) – 2
Sammy Johnson stopped 23 shots, including 15 in the third period to help preserve a 2-1 victory for her Hamilton College Continentals. Nancy Loh scored her first collegiate goal a little more that halfway through the second period to give Hamilton a 1-0 lead. The goal was assisted by Tegan Blackwell, her team leading third assist. Michaela Giuttari put her team up 2-0 8:06 into the third period. Morrisville’s Maddison Devlin cut the deficit to 2-1 with 5:20 left in the game, but Johnson stood tall in net earning her second win of the season.
Sunday, November 25th
Utica 9-0-0 (6-0-0, UCHC) – 3
Hamilton 2-2-0 (1-1-0, NESCAC) – 2
Utica remained undefeated behind two goals from Olivia Hirschy and 35 saves from Bria Reilly. After a scoreless first period Hirschy popped in a Rebecca Brown rebound giving Utica 1-0 lead. Lexi Takashima scored her first collegiate goal at 6:09 followed by a Kelly Mackey score to put the Continentals ahead 2-1 halfway through the game. Blackwell continued her point streak (now at 4 games) by adding an assist on the Mackey goal.
Nicole Johnson responded 3 minutes later tying the game at two before Hirschy netted her second of the afternoon at 8:14 in the third.
Still looking for her first collegiate win, Sidney Molnar stopped 20 in the loss.
Hamilton hits the road for two NESCAC games at Colby College in Maine this weekend.
