It was a battle of Mustangs Sunday as Stevenson out-shot Morrisville 43-21 in a rare Sunday night game at the IcePlex. Neither team was able to convert their opportunities in the first period.
Stevenson found the net first at 9:11 of the second to take a 1-0 lead. Morrisville’s Eric Melso answered back with a power-play goal at 14:40 tying the game at one. The game was decided in a span of 16 seconds in the third period when Chad Watt from Stevenson netted two goals.
Owen Liskiewicz made his home debut and turned aside 40 shots in the loss.
