OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Hockey Men’s team faced off against the #3 ranked Adrian Bulldogs this evening for the Best Western championship game. Oswego would fall short of the Bulldogs, suffering a go-ahead goal with just minutes remaining in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ryan Dickinson was able to get the Lakers on the board first with a power play goal 13 minutes into the first period. Dickinson was unassisted on his goal.
Goalie Cal Schell recorded seven saves in the first period.
Shortly into the second period, Daniel Colabufo scored the second goal of the evening for the Lakers. Colabufo would be assisted by Shane Bull and Ben Addison just a minute into the period.
Just a few minutes later, the Bulldogs would net their first goal of the evening off of a power play.
Adrian would strike again with just over two minutes left in the second period on another power play. The score would be tied at two.
Cal Schell recorded 18 more saves in the second period, bringing his total to 25.
Following a handful of penalties assessed to the Lakers, the Bulldogs would take the lead with a power play goal with just three minutes remaining in the contest.
Oswego would fall to the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. Cal Schell finished with 37 saves on the evening.
Daniel Colabufo and Ryan Dickinson were two of six selected to the all-tournament team for the 2022 Best Western Clarion Oswego State Hockey Classic.
