The NHL preseason game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Columbus Blue Jackets is quickly approaching. The ice is down (and looks better than ever), ticket sign ups have concluded (with the lottery winners being announced some time Saturday, September 15th) and more details are beginning to be released regarding the weekend leading up to the game itself.
You can feel the buzz around the Central New York area over the past couple of days as the temperature dipped into the 50’s and fall was in the air. Adding to that buzz was a recent announcement by the Clinton Arena – Kraft Hockeyville USA 2018 Facebook page that The Stanley Cup would be at The Arena for viewing and pictures on Sunday, September 23rd.
There will be many more events leading up to the Kraft Hockeyville game. The full schedule can be seen below.
Saturday, September 22nd (12:00pm – 4:00pm) There will be a family friendly celebration at the Village Green in Clinton that will include BBQ, Clinton Comets alumni speakers, appearances by NHL alumni, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, the Planters NUTmobile and more!

Sunday, September 23rd (11:00am – 2:00pm)
The Clinton Arena will be holding a Community Skate with various members of the Clinton Hockey community which includes Hamilton College players. Former New Jersey Devil and Clinton High School alumni Nick Palmieri will be on the ice as well.
Monday, September 24th (6:00pm – 8:30pm)
Jeremy Roenick will be the Master of Ceremonies of a fundraising banquet for the Clinton Arena Improvement Fund at Hamilton College. This event is being held at Tolles Pavilion at Hamilton College and includes a dinner, cash bar and a silent auction of NHL items. Some of the items up for auction include signed memorabilia from Sabres players Rasmus Ristolainen and Jack Eichel and Blue Jackets players Sergei Bobrovsky and Zach Werenski. 4:30pm – Pep Rally at CSS with Best Dressed and Cheering Competition
5:30pm – Parade to the Clinton Arena led by the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile
