CORTLAND, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Steven Kozikoski of the Lakers as the PrestoSports Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week for the week ending November 28. This is the second time the Liverpool native has won the award in his career, with a previous acknowledgement in February of 2020.
Kozikoski helped Oswego defeat previously unbeaten Williams College in a pair of contest this past weekend. The junior notched 24 saves in the team’s 3-0 win on Saturday while holding the Ephs to 0-for-9 on the power play. On Sunday, he recorded another 26 saves as the Lakers improved to 5-3-1 with a 3-1 win in the rematch. Kozikoski leads the Lakers with a 5-2-1 record, 1.58 goals-against-average, 173 saves and a .940 save percentage.
Oswego is scheduled to play on Friday at SUNY Canton in a 7 p.m. contest.
