Below are answers to questions about the 2021-22 season.

In addition to this page, the Syracuse Crunch office would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Call us at 315-473-4444 or fill out the ticket information inquiry form and a Crunch representative will contact you directly.

Will I have to be vaccinated to attend the 2021-22 season?

Yes. The Syracuse Crunch will be requiring all of their employees, game-night staff and fans ages 12 and up to provide proof of full vaccination to enter the Upstate Medical University Arena during the 2021-22 season.

How do I enter the arena this season?

To attend a Crunch game, you must show proof of full vaccination. Fans must show their physical vaccination card or Excelsior Pass along with photo ID to enter the Upstate Medical University Arena.

Fans may enter through the State St. or Montgomery St. doors. There will be one fast lane on each side of the building for fans who have a Syracuse Crunch ID card or wristband from prescreening.

Is prescreening available?

Yes, prescreening will begin one day prior to each game. Fans may visit Guest Services outside Section 222 in the Upstate Medical University Arena during normal businesses hours the day prior to the game or on game day up until four hours before puck drop to show proof of full vaccination along with a photo ID to receive a wristband and use a fast pass lane when entering the building.

I will be attending multiple games. Do I have to get prescreened every game?

The Crunch are offering a Syracuse Crunch ID card. This photo ID will serve as proof of full vaccination and allow you to skip the wristband process. You simply show the Syracuse Crunch ID card along with your ticket when entering the Upstate Medical University Arena in a fast lane.

To get a Syracuse Crunch ID card, visit Guest Services outside Section 222 in the Upstate Medical University Arena during normal businesses hours or during any home game to show your physical vaccination card or Excelsior Pass along with a photo ID. You will get your photo taken for your Syracuse Crunch ID card and be able to bypass the wristband process once your ID card is printed.

Is there a bag policy?

A bag policy will go into effect on January 1, 2022, per ASM Global.

Fans will be able to carry only the approved style and size bag, package or container into the venue and will be subject to a thorough search.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

• purses larger than a clutch bag, hard or soft coolers, briefcases, luggage of any kind, computer bags, fanny packs, and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size

An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. Please contact security at least 24 hours in advance to request an exception at 315-435-8042.

Are there additional safety measures?

Fans entering the Upstate Medical University Arena will be subject to bag checks and metal detectors before entering the game.

What if I have a medical condition that prevents me from getting the COVID-19 vaccine?

This will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the Crunch office. Those with medical conditions who are unable to get the COVID-19 vaccine must provide a doctor’s note and will be required to wear a mask while inside the Upstate Medical University Arena.

Will I get a refund if I purchased tickets and do not want to get vaccinated?

Yes. If you purchased a ticket package for the 2021-22 season and do not want to get vaccinated and are therefore unable to attend, you are eligible for a full refund. Refunds must be requested by Oct. 22, 2021.

If you are a season ticket holder, your seat location will be reserved for the season should your vaccination status change.
