Kaltounková Continues Dominant Season


HAMILTON – Colgate Women’s Ice Hockey blasted by RIT in a Friday, Oct. 14 matchup, winning by a score of 9-0. 13 different Raiders recorded at least one point apiece, with three scoring their first points in the maroon and white.

Kristýna Kaltounková tallied five points in tonight’s matchup, scoring three goals and two assists. Kaltounková continues to dominate the 2022-23 season, scoring 13 points in just six games.

Danielle Serdachny tapped in two goals and secured three assists in her five point effort marking her third third all-time in Colgate history for career points with 117.

Three Raiders secured their first career points in the maroon and white as Jenna Duarte and Sarah Roger found the back of the net in stunning fashion, Kas Betinol grabbed an assist on Duarte’s snipe in the second period.

13 Raiders registered at least one point in tonight’s 9-0 victory with Dara Greig and Allyson Simpson tallying two points apiece. Kaitlyn O’Donohoe recorded three assists.

Hannah Murphy recorded 13 saves, securing her second shutout of the season and seventh all-time.

Colgate outshot RIT 57-13. The last time Colgate recorded 50 plus shots was last season against RPI, where the Raiders recorded 52 shots.

Sarah Roger kicked off Friday’s night contest with a bang, netting the first of her career over the shoulder of the Tiger’s netminder from the lower circle. Sara Stewart picked up her first career assist on the Raiders goal.

The Raiders registered a total of 24 shots on net in the first, outshooting the Tigers by 22 shots.

Colgate kicked off the second period in style, as Danielle Serdachny, Kristýna Kaltounková, and Jenna Duarte lasered pucks to the back of the breadbasket. The Raiders led 4-0 with just under 15 minutes to play in the second period.

Two quick goals late in the second brought the Raiders lead to 7-0 as Colgate finished the second period with 39 shots on net to the Tigers eight.

Dara Greig slotted one past the keeper just five minutes into the third period, bringing the Raiders lead to 8-0.

Kaltounková continued her dominance throughout the third period, netting her third goal of the game to make it 9-0.

Colgate’s offensive presence was unstoppable, as the Raiders walked away with a 9-0 win.


The Raiders return to the ice Saturday, Oct. 15 for a 3 p.m. puck drop against the Tigers to finish out the two game series.
