Friday, January 4th

#9 (DI) West Genesee 7-4-0 (4-0, Sec. III) – 3
#13 (DI) Canton – 4

Daniel Holzhauer, Jack Miller and Ryan Washo scored goals for the Wildcats while Chris Wells made 22 saves in net.

Baldwinsville 8-3-0 (7-1-0, Sec. III) – 8
Williamsville South – 0

Clinton 4-4-3 (1-3-2, Sec. III) – 5
Auburn 7-6-0 (3-3-0, Sec. III) – 2

Clinton earned their first win of the season in a rematch of last years Sectional Final. Ethan Carr recorded two goals and an assist and TJ Elsenbeck had two assists to help lead the Warriors to victory. Tyler Karuzas, Corbin Melie and Nolan Provost also scored for Clinton. Josh Trask made 26 saves. Auburn received goals from RJ Szakalski and Brendan Williams, Aaron Kowal made 22 saves.

Leading scorer Johnny Malandruccolo (30 goals, 12 assists in 12 games) was held off the scoresheet for the first time this season.

Mohanason – 2
Rome Free Academy 8-2-0 (3-1-0, Sec. III) – 3

Griffin Eychner, Jake Hall and Aaron Simons scored for the Black Knights. Isaiah Nebush made 17 saves.

Whitesboro 6-4-3 (2-2-2, Sec. III) – 7
New Hartford 1-10-1 (0-4-1, Sec. III) – 0

After a scoreless first period, Whitesboro took control of this game scoring seven goals over the next two periods. Whitesboro was led by Troy Chamberlain (2G, 2A), Andrew Maycock (2G, 1A), Noah Scranton (3A), Andy Hadasz (2G) and Andrew Manley (1G, 2A). Cameron Manley made 19 saves for the Warriors, Juliano Macera made 22 at the other end of the ice.

Ontario Bay 1-10-0 (1-6-0, Sec. III) – 3
Christian Brothers Academy 3-6-2 (2-2-2, Sec. III) – 13

#7 (DII) Pelham (4-7-0) – 0
#1 (DII) Skaneateles 9-1-1 (5-0-0, Sec. III) – 7

Six different players scored goals and ten recorded points in a 7-0 walloping over Pelham. Charlie Russell (1G, 2A), Charlie Major (2G), Jim Liberatore (1G, 1A) and Garrett Krieger (2A) had multi-point games for the Lakers. Adam Casper was in net and made 18 saves earning the shutout.

Saturday, January 5th

Fulton 3-6-0 (2-4-0, Sec. III) – 1
Brockport – 2

Despite 47 saves from Jadon Lee, Fulton still lost to Brockport. Freddy White scored the lone Fulton goal.

Batavia Notre Dame – 2
Christian Brothers Academy 4-6-2 (2-2-2, Sec. III) – 3

Baldwinsville 8-4-0 (7-1-0, Sec. III) – 2
#1 (DII) Skaneateles 7-2-2 (3-1-2, Sec. III) – 4

Cam Lowe scored hat-trick and Jack Henry added one goal to down the Bees. Chris Falso made 26 saves while his counterpart, Tom Blais made 28 in the loss. Nick Glamos and Alex Pompo scored for Baldwinsville.

West Seneca East – 2
Oswego 6-2-1 (3-2-0, Sec. II) – 3

Oswego received one goal in each period and a combined 15 saves from their goalies to beat the visitors from West Seneca. Ike Calverase, Carson Colucci, and Adam Michalski scored for the Bucs. Brandon Demling started the game and allowed 2 goals on 7 shots through 25 minutes. Ethan Proud came in halfway through the second and stopped all 10 shots he faced the rest of the game.

Shenendehowa – 6
#2 (DII) Cortland-Homer 7-2-2 (3-1-2, Sec. III) – 3

Jed Brazo scored two goals and added an assist and Trevor Jubran scored a goal, but the home team fell to the visitors from Shen 6-3. Brandon Ludwig stopped 22 shots.

Mohanason – 6
Mohawk Valley 1-10-0 (1-6-0, Sec. III) – 1

#10 (DI) Massena – 2

West Genesee got a big win over #10 ranked Massena in Massena Saturday afternoon. Billy Fisher (2G, 1A) and Joe Comins (1G, 2A) led the way with three points each. Ryan Washo (2G), Joe McLaughlin (1G, 1A), Jimmy Bergan (2A), and Chris Kleberg (2A) all had two points while Jeremy Keyes added a goal. Goaltender Christopher Wells made 8 saves.
