Syracuse forward Rhéa Hicks is the College Hockey America Rookie of the Week for her performance in the Orange series at #15 Princeton. The Etobicoke, Ontario native scored her first collegiate goal against the Tigers. Junior Rayla Clemons set up the play by hitting Tatum White with a pass who then fed Hicks for the score. Hicks had four shots in the two games. She has four points on the season, including one goal and three assists. It is the second CHA Rookie of the Week recognition for Hicks this season.
Hicks plays on Syracuse’s power play and penalty kill units. The Orange power play unit that ranks 8th nationally and leads CHA and the penalty kill unit that ranks 12th nationally and second in the CHA.
The Orange (5-9-1 overall, 4-0 CHA) will play a series at Mercyhurst Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19. Both games will be streamed on FloHockey.com.
