ROCHESTER, NY – Angela Hawthorne (Santa Clara, CA/Meijer) of the Utica University women’s hockey team has been named United Collegiate Hockey Conference Goaltender of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.
Hawthorne posted a 1.00 goals against average this week after only allowing three goals on the 70 total shots she faced last week. The junior netminder also recorded her fourth shutout of the season on Saturday, while posting a .956 save percentage throughout her 3 starts last week.
Hawthorne and the No. 14 Pioneers will return after the semester break and travel to face Worcester State University on Friday, January 6 at 7:30 p.m.
