HAMILTON, N.Y.— Dara Greig scored a hat trick in the sixth-ranked Colgate women’s hockey team’s 4-2 conference win over Dartmouth on Sunday.
Other stat leaders for Colgate were Danielle Serdachny and Kalty Kaltounkova who each tallied three assists.
The Raiders were able to hold the Big Green scoreless in the first, which included killing off a five-on-three chance that Dartmouth was awarded after Colgate got called for back-to-back tripping penalties.
Greig got Colgate on the board when she one-timed a pass from Kaltounkova into the back of the net with just over six minutes left in the period.
A minute and a half into the second, Katie Chan doubled the Raiders’ lead on a power play when Malia Schneider played a pass across to her that she was able to finish off from in close.
The Big Green would fight back, as Lotti Odnoga scored to cut the lead to one at the 15:51 mark. Tiffany Hill then tied it up with four minutes remaining in the second.
Shortly after, Greig scored her second of the game on a tap-in from Kaltounkova to put the Raiders back up one. The Sophomore then completed her hat trick in the third during a five-on-three power play in which Allyson Simpson whipped a pass toward the goal that deflected off her stick and into the net.
Colgate ended the game with a 35-16 advantage in shots.
Hannah Murphy finished with 14 saves as she picked up her seventh win of the season.

Head Coach Greg Fargo
“It was good to get back to playing today after a nice long break and time away and great to come away with a win. I thought Dartmouth played hard and we had to earn everything out there tonight. Our play improved as the game went on but we also recognize we have plenty of room to improve as we look ahead.”
