HANOVER, N.H.—Sophomore Dara Greig scored two goals to help the #4/5 Raiders to a 4 2 win over Dartmouth in their ECAC opener.
Greig’s first goal came with 11:50 remaining in the first when she picked up a loose puck, skated in close and beat the goalkeeper through the five-hole.
The Big Green equalized when Laura Fuoco scored on a power play with 1:53 remaining in the period.
In the second, Dartmouth went back up on the power play, but that would not stop the Raiders from scoring. Delani MacKay found Danielle Serdachny on a centering pass and the junior was then able to get around the goalie and tap in a shot.
Just 33 seconds later, the Big Green answered back while they were still on the power play, as CC Bowlby put one in to tie the game at 2-2.
Greig scored her second of the game with 37 seconds remaining in the period. Sydney Bard ripped a shot that went wide and bounced off the wall to Greig, who collected it behind the net and then wrapped around for a shot .
With 5:32 remaining in the final period, Kalty Kaltounkova scooped up a loose puck and fired a shot from a tough angle that she slipped past the goalkeeper into the side netting, as the Raiders took a 4-2 lead.
Colgate outshot the Big Green 30-11 in the game and led in the faceoff circle going 29-52.
