Hamilton College’s Matt Gellerman ’24 (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./South St. Paul Sr. HS) was selected the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men’s Hockey Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 14.

Gellerman helped lead the Continentals to three conference wins in three days this past weekend. He recorded his first hat trick at Hamilton and added an assist in a 5-2 win at Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon. He picked up a secondary assist in a 6-1 victory against Tufts University on Sunday afternoon. He put four shots on goal in a 4-3 overtime triumph at Tufts on Friday night.

Gellerman, who also collected player of the week honors back on December 14, leads the NESCAC with 11 goals and is tied for 15th with 14 points. He’s tied for sixth in the conference with three power-play tallies.

The Continentals wrap up their regular season with two NESCAC games at Russell Sage Rink this weekend. Hamilton hosts Williams College on Friday, Feb. 18 and Middlebury College on Saturday, Feb. 19. The Continentals (10-8-0 overall) are in fourth place in the conference standings with a record of 9-7.
