OSWEGO, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has released the Men’s Ice Hockey All-Conference awards for the 2022-23 season. On this list, the Lakers have three selections.
Named to the second team was Senior Assistant Captain Alex DiCarlo, DiCarlo is second on the team in points with eight goals and nine assists in 14 games played this season. With 68 career points, at just under a point per game the Lakers have modeled their offense after DiCarlo and his playmaking as well as scoring abilities. In his career, the Niagara Falls, Ont. native has seven game-winning goals with three coming this year. DiCarlo is one point away from tying his career high season of last year at 26. DiCarlo has become a household name for the Lakers and in his final season he looks to continue his offensive success through the playoffs starting this Saturday.
A third team selection for the Lakers was Shane Bull, Bull currently sits atop the #14 ranked Lakers with 27 points by way of nine goals and 18 assists. Bull leads the team in assists, short-handed goals (1), game-tying goals (1) and is second in +/- with +17. Bull is a great two-way forward who will get in the corners and play the grinding style of hockey every coach loves. Bull has a quick release that allows him to put goals in the net and pass the puck with little effort.
