Binghamton Devils (5-7-3-0) – 2
After being down 2-0 in the third period, the Comets battled back to force overtime and secure a 3-2 victory.
Joe Morrow and Ben Street scored a minute and a half apart in the first period to give the Devils a 2-0 lead. Neither team found the back of the net in the second period.
The Comets finally put on past Devils goaltender, Louis Domingue, at the 7:24 mark of the third period. Wacey Hamilton set a pass all the way across the ice to Stefan LeBlanc who one-touched the puck into the net. It was the first goal of the season for LeBlanc who was appearing in his first game of the year.

Tyler Graovac tied the game at 13:26 of the period when he picked up a loose puck in the slot and fired a blind wrist shot that beat Domingue.
Zack MacEwen sealed the victory in overtime with a backhand shot. MacEwen was fed by Nikolay Goldobin and used Ashton Sautner as a screen while lifting a backhand into the back of the net.
