The game marks a long-awaited return to the NCAA Tournament for the Raiders, as their last appearance was in 2014. The Raiders and the Wolverines enter the tournament coming off championship victories in their respective conferences, as Colgate won the ECAC Tournament and Michigan took the Big Ten crown for the second consecutive season..
