After four straight games on the road, the Colgate Raiders (4-7-1 overall, 2-2-0 ECAC) return home this weekend for a pair of ECAC games. Their opponent on Friday night at the Class of 1965 Arena will have traveled from Rhode Island as they face the Brown University Bears (1-4-1 overall, 1-4-1 ECAC). The Raiders will wrap up their games this weekend when they take on the Yale Bulldogs on Saturday night.

Last weekend the Raiders played a two-game set in the north country which had mixed results. Their first game did not go as they had hoped it would, as they were shut out by the Clarkson Golden Knights by a score of 4-0. Coach Don Vaughn’s team did not let that get them down, however, as the next night, they went into St. Lawrence and defeated the Saints 4-1.

Brown played two games last weekend as well and nearly picked up a victory in both games. On Friday at home, they almost upset the fifth-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats, but ultimately lost by a score of 4-3. The next night they hosted the Princeton Tigers and once again it was one goal that made the difference. Unfortunately for the Bears, it was the Tigers who scored that goal as they defeated Brown by a score of 1-0.

With both teams looking to make up ground in the ECAC, let’s take a look at how the Colgate Raiders and the Brown Bears match up against each other.
