Colgate Beats Yale and Brown in ECAC Action

Brown (1-7-0, 1-4-0 ECAC) – 1
Colgate (7-5-2, 2-2-1 ECAC) – 3

Colgate skated to a 3-1 victory Friday night in a one-sided affair at Class of 1965 Arena. The Raiders out shot Brown 52-14 en route to a 3-1 ECAC conference victory.

Shelby Wood scored her first goal of the season at the 5:00 mark of the first period. Her shot from the top of the right face-off circle made its way through a sea of bodies and into the net. Rosy Demers assisted. Brown was able to tie the game at 18:07 of the period.

Danielle Serdachny scored the fifth goal of her freshman season at 5:04 of the second to give Colgate a 2-1 lead. Coralie Larose added the insurance marker at 15:22 of the third. Demers added her second assist of the night on the goal.

Alexa Dobchuk started in goal for the Raiders and earned her first victory of the season with 13 saves.

Colgate (8-5-2, 3-2-1, ECAC) – 4

Colgate scored two goals each in the first and third period and Liz Auby made 23 saves in a 4-0 victory over Yale. Larose added her second goal of the weekend at the 16:23 of the first while the Raiders were short-handed.

Noemi Neubauerova scored at 19:23 with assists going to Tanner Gates and Demers. Eleri MacKay and Malia Schneider scored goals at 13:02 and 14:54 of the third to secure the victory.
