Nationally ranked Ohio State skated to a 6-2 win over Colgate Friday in Hamilton. The Buckeyes got on the board twice in first period before Malia Schneider scored 1:33 into the second cutting the deficit to one. Ohio State responded with three unanswered goals to take a 5-1 lead. Darcie Lappan scored at 7:26 of the period trying to get her team back on track. Ohio State scored another goal at 19:20 of the second. Liz Auby started the game and was yanked after allowing 4 goals on 14 shots. Alexa Dobchuk made 7 saves and allowed 2 goals.

Colgate (8-6-3, 3-2-1 ECAC) – 1 (OT)
Colgate capitalized on a power-play opportunity in the first period and held on for a 1-1 tie in a rematch against Ohio State Saturday. Sammy Smigliani picked up the goal, which was assisted by Sydney Bard and Tanner Gates. Ohio State tied things up at 12:40 of the third period. Colgate had the only shot of the extra period and Auby finished the game with 27 saves.
Colgate is back on the ice Tuesday when they host the RIT Tigers at 5:00pm.
