Camillus Native Signs AHL Contract

Defenseman Rob Michel (Camillus, NY) has signed a one-year AHL contract for the 2019-20 season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The 24 year old signed a ATO with the Phantoms at the end of last season. He appeared in 3 games and recorded an assist in the season finale versus the Hartford Wolfpack.

Before signing that PTO, Michel finished his senior season at the University of Maine where he acted as Captain. During his time in Maine he compiled 17 goals and 53 assists in 137 games.

After spending three years on the West Genesee High School hockey team, Michel played in the CCHL for two seasons with the Ottawa Jr. Senators. He was named CCHL Defenseman of the Year in 2014-15 along with recording the most points by a defenseman that season with 53.
