HAMILTON – Colgate women’s ice hockey freshman Elyssa Biederman was named Hockey Commissioners Association January Rookie of the Month, announced by the HCA Tuesday afternoon.

After being named to the HCA Rookie of the Year “Watch List” Biederman was named Rookie of the Month for her 15 points through the month of January. The Franklin, Mich. native has potted a handful of ECAC Hockey weekly awards throughout the season.
