HAMILTON – Colgate women’s ice hockey forward Elyssa Biederman was named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference Tuesday morning.
Biederman was honored with her third ECAC Hockey weekly award. The freshman forward recorded four assists and a goal through three games, including a non-conference game against Syracuse and two conference matchups against No. 4/2 Quinnipiac and Princeton.
The Franklin, Mich. native has tallied eight goals and ten assists, suitable for the seventh-highest in points on the team. Biederman is averaging 49 seconds a shift through 23 games.
Colgate faces No. 10 Cornell this weekend for two ECAC matchups, set for 2:00 pm Friday, Jan. 20 at the Class of 1965 Arena and 2:00 pm Saturday, Jan. 21 in Ithaca, NY.
