Syracuse Crunch (13-5-2-0) – 5
A goal and two assists from both Carter Verhaeghe and Mitchell Stephens helped lead the Crunch over the Devils Friday night in Syracuse. Alex Barre-Boulet scored 7:01 into the game followed by a Stephens goal two and half later to increase the lead to 2-0.

Verhaeghe and Cory Conacher scored in the second period pushing the Crunch lead to 4-0 with 20 minutes left to play. Dennis Yan scored the fifth goal of the game 3:04 into the third period. Connor Ingram stopped 18 shots for his league-leading fourth shutout of the season.

Syracuse had their 13-game point streak broken Saturday night against the visiting Americans. Rochester built an early 2-0 lead only 5:45 into the game, but Andy Andreoff cashed in at the 16:13 mark to close the gap to one goal. Rochester went ahead by two once again in the second period.
Cal Foote scored only a minute into the third to bring the Crunch back within one and make it a 3-2 game. The Amerks extended their lead back to two eight minutes later on the power-play. Taylor Raddysh scored a power-play goal at the 11:55 mark, but it would be as close as Syracuse would get. Connor Ingram turned away 29 Rochester shots in a losing effort.
Syracuse travels to Canada this week where will they will take on Toronto Wednesday at 7:00pm and Laval Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and 3:00pm respectively.

The Comets went 2-for-8 on the power-play and Jonathan Dahlen scored two goals en route to a 5-2 victory over the Thunderbirds. Utica was down 1-0 and 2-1 at different points in the game before Dahlen scored both tying goals. Jesse Graham scored his first of the season at the 18:55 mark of the second to put Utica ahead for good. Carter Bancks and Tanner Kero added third period markers and Thatcher Demko finished with 23 saves.

Binghamton Devils (10-13-3-0) – 4
Utica exploded for four goals in the first 20 minutes en route toa 7-4 victory in Binghamton on Saturday. Reid Boucher, Jonathan Dahlen, Ashton Sautner and Darren Archibald all scored first periop tallies giving Utica a 4-1 lead. The Sens managed to score two in the second, but Jamie Sifers added one of his own extended the Comets lead to 5-3 with one period to play.
Binghamton scored a power-play goal at the 3:29 mark cutting the lead to 5-4 which made for interesting and exciting third period. Tanner MacMaster and Zack MacEwen (empty-net) scored to cap off the Comets goals for the evening. Richard Bachman made 19 saves in the win.
The Comets are back home for two games Wednesday against Providence and Friday against Binghamton both at 7:00pm. They will then travel to Charlotte for two games Sunday and Tuesday.
